Burlington!

This past weekend Karrigan made her first trip to Burlington--she is becoming quite the traveler if I do say so myself. Fortunately the car lulls her to sleep and so far all the driving hasn't been too bad. Here I am with some friends who came to meet her!

Zoo!

On March 31st we went to Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE with our friends Ashley and Steve. Everyone had fun! It was Karrigan's first time "out of state".

Saint Patrick's Day

Karrigan and I got to enjoy the Saint Patrick's Day Parade this year. By enjoy I mean she slept and I watched and the weather was pretty nice :-) I even made her a little tutu to wear!

Newborn Photoshoot

When Karrigan was just a couple days old we were lucky enough to have pictures taken by Ashley Nuzum of Nuzum Photography. They turned out better than Matt or I could have ever expected. Ashley came to our home to take the pictures and wa
s excellent at working to get Karrigan situated just right for the pictures and getting all of the shots we wanted.

The Arrival of Karrigan!

Karrigan Leigh was born on Feb. 13, 2011. It was a long day as Matt and I went to the hospital at 7:30 am and Karrigan was not born until 10:41 p.m. She was 7 pounds 9 oz and 20.5 inches of amazing.

Tonsils Tonsils Tonsils!

Darn those tonsils!

Last week Matt had his tonsils removed. He is now 9 days out from surgery and still a bit sore. The first few days were pretty good as his medicine worked effectively and he rested a lot. The last two or three have been a bit rougher! His tonsil spots are healing but that also makes them more sore. Hopefully in a few more days he will be back to new.

The doctor said his tonsils were some of the biggest/not so good ones he has seen in a long time. We got to see them after the surgery and I was amazed that something that big actually fit back there!

Lots of water seems to be the key and we are both happy that in the long run the pain should be worth it. Now let's hope my tonsils (still intact) stay cooperative!
